Flowers, grrrr! A few wipe-offs later, I have a painting to post. I can see the simple shapes in other painters work and I envy their vision. Practice and easel time. That's the ticket!
I am still painting stuff to eat...although, this time something besides orange.....A friend asked me how I got the eggplant to stand up.....I used a little bit of kneadable eraser in the set-up and then just painted it out.......tricky, I know! These little guys are so cute, and just the right size for dinner for two......YUMMY!
It was fun painting these yellow pears! So, I have painted a few green pears, now these yellow ones and next...red? I wiped it once...that is how I came up with the lime green ground! It was interesting to see where I wound up eventually!
I am noticing lots of poppy paintings on blogs these days, and mine is no different. This is another one that I painted outdoors. Poppies have such a beautiful color and the texture appears so fragile, almost like tissue paper. Next time, back to the studio for me!
This is a painting I did plein air. I have not tried this often. Although the weather was gorgeous and being outside was great, I think it might take some getting used to. Colors sure look different outside!
It has been a wonderful, traveling summer! I have missed painting and posting! I am home now. Time to enjoy this blogging! I have been trying to figure out the "like" button with no success. Maybe tomorrow!
