I love the way these flowers burst open into blossoms that look like purple fireworks.  Every spring, my yard explodes with hundreds of these blooms.  I know that I am not quite in the fall theme of the season, but I kept hearing the word "purple", and I had to listen.  Is there purple in the fall landscape?  Not in my yard anyway.  This is Florida after all...it still sort of feels like summer!
